Tourism for Inclusive Growth- Theme of World Tourism Day-2021

 

Hello Friends,

United Nations World Tourism Organization(UNWTO) is celebrating  September 27  as World Tourism Day. While celebrating this World Tourism Day, a theme is decided each year; On the basis of which various events are organized all over the world. The theme for this year 2021 is "Tourism for Inclusive Development".

While we are all implementing various tourism concepts at our agri-tourism centers, at home stays, in hotels and; All the stake holders who are engaged in it are get influenced direct or indirectly.  This influence is not only economic but also personal, cultural, social and public also.

Through responsible tourism, if we take into account all the direct and indirect factors working in our tourism business, then our tourism goes one step further and comes to the definition of sustainable tourism.

Directorate of Tourism, Govt of Maharashtra have launched the  agri-tourism policy, beach shack policy, caravan tourism policy and adventure tourism policy for tourism development in Maharashtra. All above tourism concepts with rest of an innovative one, we can coined them in single concept & that is sustainable tourism. Tourism Directorate, Govt of Maharashtra is coming up with a sustainable tourism policy in the future.

I think the theme of World Tourism Day 2021; The role of "Tourism for Inclusive Development" is an opportunity to be more vigorously implemented across the state through the Sustainable Tourism Policy of the Maharashtra Directorate of Tourism. We are currently running an agri-tourism center. Sustaining agriculture, agricultural income, agricultural economy as well as agricultural health are all part of agri-tourism.

Visitors from home and abroad who come to our agri-tourism center for agricultural experience come to us and enrich their lives in a way. I think with this sustainable tourism, the option of prosperity in life is the same on both sides. To celebrate this World Tourism Day, we should join in with the same enthusiasm.

Because this occasion will help to broaden your tourism outlook.

 It will help you to know what is going on in the tourism sector across the world and will develop your capabilities.

So my humble request to all of you is that through your homestay, agri-tourism, hotel, tourism concepts in which you are working; the coming 27th September 2021 is World Tourism Day; Celebrate at your own level through various activities like workshops, honoring of deserving people, determination of sustainable tourism and develop your abilities.

If we want to recover from the current situation in the Corona, we need to work together. Now, it would be more appropriate to say that my development is not all-inclusive development. And for this all-round development, tourism is the theme of this year's World Tourism Day.

On this occasion, let us resolve to inculcate and strengthen this theme in our tourism concept in the true sense. September 27 is World Tourism Day, but we can work on that theme throughout the year. Happy World Tourism Day to all.
